Standard Deviation Overflow Grenache 2021

The darker, more luxurious side of Grenache.  Dark and brilliant with a violet hue and shimmering ruby halo.  The nose is opulent in its aromas of maraschino cherry, red licorice, freshly-tanned leather, and mesquite charcoal. On the palate the wine is youthful, dense and full-bodied, suggesting nuance of black cherry, kirsch liqueur, and purple flower, underpinned by a streak of granitic minerality.  A profound wine whose underlying tannin and sneaky acidity beg for a healthy decant, and will certainly blossom after a short rest in a cool cellar.
