2019 Sandhi Chardonnay Central Coast
The 2019 vintage is the first release of Central Coast Chardonnay. The vineyard sites are now mostly planted to older vines across a broader array of microclimates and soils. This brings character and depth to the wine, it exudes freshness and is very food friendly.
Sommelier and winemaker, Raj Parr started pulling from select vineyards in Santa Barbara County in 2010 and created Sandhi Wines. A winery that is focused on the stylistic goal to create wines of finesse, minerality, acidity and structure. He’s actively trying to forgo the over-ripe, oaky, and bombastic style. These wines are meant for food, the professional, and the novice looking for something more serious.
The name, Sandhi, is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning "alliance" or "collaboration.” Something we should all strive to have in our glass, especially at these friendly prices.
