2018 Sandhi Pinot Noir Santa Rita Hills
This wine showcases the exuberance of Sta. Rita Hills with bright, shiny red crunchy raspberry fruit that is layered with cola spices and tobacco. The wines are delicious now and will age gracefully for another 5-7 years.
Sommelier and winemaker, Raj Parr started pulling from select vineyards in Santa Barbara County in 2010 and created Sandhi Wines. A winery that is focused on the stylistic goal to create wines of finesse, minerality, acidity and structure. He’s actively trying to forgo the over-ripe, oaky, and bombastic style. These wines are meant for food, the professional, and the novice looking for something more serious.
The name, Sandhi, is an ancient Sanskrit word meaning "alliance" or "collaboration.” Something we should all strive to have in our glass, especially at these friendly prices.
