Diamond Creek 'Gravelly Meadow' Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2018
Gravelly Meadow is situated in a cool micro-climate on Diamond Mountain. This relatively flat parcel is full of pebbles and gets a nice cool breeze throughout the day. Wine Advocate noted that it, “slips effortlessly from the glass, singing of ripe black cherries, black raspberries, and cassis.” The body is supported by fine-grained tannins and delicacy throughout. A real treat alongside most any red meat.
97 Points, Wine Advocate
Diamond Creek Winery is about as Iconic as it gets with Napa Valley wineries. They are the winery of many firsts in Napa Valley: first to successfully produce and market single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, first to bump up the price of ultra-premium Napa Cabernet Sauvignon to a new height, and first unknown winery to walk off with the highest bid in the Napa Valley wine auction, in 1981.
Today, the wines are still just as exciting ’80s and showcase how terroir can make the biggest difference in wine, even if it’s from the same 20-acre parcel. We have a small allocation for you to snag up, grab 3 bottles or just try one, you’ll love it either way.
