The ever enticing aromas of cassis, vanilla, sage and blackberry will keep your nose deep in the glass. The palate draws you closer with juicy raspberry and chewy long drawn out tannins. This one will age gracefully and certainly drinks well now.
For most wine enthusiasts, Silver Oak Cellars is known for two things: Cabernet Sauvignon and American Oak. Tides are changing in 2020 as they just released their first new wine since the launch of the Twomey label over two decades ago, and it’s aged in French Oak. Owner David Duncan is paying tribute to Ray Duncan, his father and the co-creator of the family brand, by releasing Timeless Cabernet Sauvignon; an expression of their Soda Canyon estate and inspired by the greatest wines of the world.
This inaugural 2017 vintage release was made by winemaker Nate Weis who has been with Silver Oak for over 6 years and has worked with some of the top wine estates across the Napa and Sonoma Valleys. Weis notes that “The first vintage of Timeless Napa Valley is a harmonious wine that deftly balances elegant integration of both high acidity and supple fruit to create a wine with age-worthy structure and character.”
