Wine Advocate went wild on this vintage: “It comes bursting forth with notes of ripe apricots, green mango, and lemon tart with touches of baking bread, fresh ginger, fennel seed, lanolin, and orange blossom. Medium to full-bodied, the palate reveals the most incredible satiny texture with some phenolic grip, filling with spiced citrus fruits and finishing very long and very exotic."

The Lail family is a name synonymous with Mondavi, Gallo, and Krug in Napa Valley... the Round Table if you will. Lail founder and owner Robin Daniel Lail comes from a long family tree of wine oligarchs, with branches leading to Inglenook, Merryvale, Harlan, and Mondavi. While Lail Family Vineyards is quite young (established 1995) it brings prestige and excitement to the fine wine community with some of the highest-rated and most noteworthy red and white wines to date. Parker once noted “California's most complex and multi-dimensional Sauvignon Blanc” on the Georgia Sauvignon Blanc. You couldn’t beg for a better compliment. To make things even better they just brought on Philippe Melka as winemaker, and he immediately hit the ground running with perfect scores.  It’s no surprise these guys are making history!
