Tesseron Estate Pym-Rae Proprietary Red Mount Veeder 2016
Tesseron and Rolland have made more than their fair share of 100-point wines, and this and Pym-Rae Red (76% Cab. Sauv, 17% Merlot, 7% Cab. Franc) is about as close as it gets to perfection. Its unique character of deep candied violets, wild rose, black tea, and red and black currants flow off the rim of the glass with intensity. The body is medium-to-full, and the palate sings with structure, ripeness, and silky tannins. The layered elegance is reminiscent of the best wines produced in Napa Valley in 2016. Think Harlan, Screaming Eagle, Surrealist, Scarecrow, etc. Don’t miss out on the chance to own and enjoy the inaugural vintage.
