The Togni family first planted vineyards on Spring Mountain in 1981. Their second label, Tanbark Hill, is named for a location of their property that grew trees whose bark was used for tanning hides. Philip concentrates on making Margaux-style blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot from the 25 acre parcel that is their home.
