The winemaker describes the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville as having “notes of cassis, black tea, cocoa nibs, leather, and bay laurel. The bright natural acidity, a hallmark of the appellation, brings life and energy to the flavor profile..."
The foothills of the Vaca Mountains are located east of Napa. Embraced at its center is Coombsville, where Favia Wines was born in 2003 by Annie Favia and Andy Erickson. After dedicating their time at Napa’s most lauded wineries including Kongsgaard, Corison, Screaming Eagle, Ovid, and Dalla Valle, it was organic for this most accomplished duo to start their own label.
The winemaker describes the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Coombsville as having “notes of cassis, black tea, cocoa nibs, leather, and bay laurel. The bright natural acidity, a hallmark of the appellation, brings life and energy to the flavor profile, along with black cherry, baking spices, coriander, and ripe tannins that leave a sweet, supple feeling on the finish.” 343 cases produced.
