As an iconic vineyard first planted in 1880 and known for stellar Cabernet fruit for 50 years, Eisele Vineyards is associated with fame in every direction. After the Eisele family period, the Araujo family built this label into a cult wine in 1990. Farming organically and biodynamically in the following years, they utilized a winemaking team of the best in the business, including Tony Soter, Mia Klein, Francoise Peschon, and Michel Roland. French businessman and Chateau Latour owner, Francois Penault, purchased the estate in 2013.
Bart Araujo named the wine "Altagracia" in honor of his grandmother and sourced this Cabernet blend mainly for the eastern side of Eisele Vineyard. The blend is noble, refined and elegant, floral and earthy, generous and racy, earning 96 points from James Suckling.
